Chelsea could be about to hijack Real Madrid's deal to sign Kaka from AC Milan, according to reports.
Real have reportedly agreed a world record deal with Milan, believed to be worth anything from £56million to £65million, but there is confusion about whether personal terms have been agreed with the player.
The Independent claims that a contract has been agreed with Bosco Leite, Kaka's agent and father, with the Brazilian being paid around £7.7million a year.
However, various sources in Spain report that the commission wanted by the player's representatives could prove to be a stumbling block.
Madrid-based English scribe Sid Lowe told The BBC on Tuesday: "AC Milan and Real reckon they have the basis for a deal.
"But there are things in the way, like the commission to be paid to Kaka's father, and with the European elections coming up on Thursday, Berlusconi will not want to lose him just now."
Indeed, Spanish journalist Guillem Balague claims that the fees demanded are so high that Florentino Perez may call off the deal.
And that could provide Chelsea with an opportunity to steal Kaka from under Madrid's noses.
The Times claims that, while Madrid have offered the player £150,000 a week, Chelsea could be prepared to top that.
The paper reports: 'Sources in Milan said that Chelsea - who were also targeting Andrea Pirlo - had offered the player "extraordinary" personal terms after they were advised that there was a hitch in the Kaká deal.'
Milan still maintain that no such negotiations have taken place, claiming in a statement on Tuesday: "The general manager of the Rosseneri, Adriano Galliani, is in the city of Madrid exclusively for the investiture dinner of Florentino Perez, the new president of Real Madrid."
Furthermore, Kaka himself said yesterday that he has no intention of leaving Milan.
He told Gazzetta dello Sport: "I'll say it for the last time. The last time. I don't want to leave Milan. In this period I prefer to remain silent because I don't want to be misunderstood. Or, worse still, to be used.
"To the millions of Milan supporters, I say that I have made my choice. I have said what I want to stay.
"Leave me in peace, please."

"listen blue bollox u cock end! Different time differnt measures! Hiddink wanted to be here, he wanted to do well and cared about the team, unlike most of these other c**ts who don't care as long as the wage is good. how can u not agree that someone with a desire to prove themselves and really get involved is what the teamm needs right now. up to me i would have given avram another season but no he wasn't high profile enough was he!"

"dboy! point well made mate. but hiddink unlike most is a very honest and gracious and clearly had a passion for chelsea in his time here! QAncelotti on the other hand was only just last week saying that if Milan want him to stay he'll stay. i'm just saying give the job to someone who wants it!"

"I don't think kaka will be the man to give chelsea the need boast. We have great mildfildes who could change games anytime.Lampard is our no1 playmaker.what we need now in my opinion is a player like Ribery."

"Tone_y - A young hungry manager? Hiddink wasnt and he turned Chelsea's season around in a matter of weeks! Scolari had been an international coach for way too long - a very different football enviroment to club football - He was so far out of his depth it was untrue. Ancelotti has been at Milan for years and knows how to Coach at the very top of club football, saying that doesnt mean he will a success, but you cannot compare him to Scolari...totally different coaches/situations."

"Think Kaka is a great player , however not totally convinced he could do it week in week out in the premier league, going to places like Burnley, Birmingham, Stoke, Sunderland etc, yes maybe he would be brilliant against Arsenal, United etc but the premiership is won over 38 games not 4 or 6 as United showed this season, anyway he's going to Madrid . I think Chelsea will be strong contenders this season, Ancelotti will be a quality manager and Man City will be pushing Arsenal hard for that 4th place. Chelsea, United or Liverpool to win the league and who wins it will probably depend on summer comings and goings of these 3 clubs."

"Can't stand all you so called Chelsa fans constantly knocking the club. long term success will come, but it needs to be built in an environment where we are regularly winning trophy's, (ask Arsenal). What makes you think that the board and management at Chelsea don't know what they are doing? they have built us into one of the biggest, most recognised and successful clubs on the planet within a decade...a long way from watching us lose every other week, standing under a dripping roof, rusty bars and weeds growing through the concrete...f*ck off"
